EQUIPMENT AT THE CHAMBLY SNCF SITE (60)

Following the Brétigny-sur-Orge disaster in 2013, the SNCF made the decision to modernize in order to be able to replace sections of rail and switches more quickly and easily. To do this, they have implemented the VIGIRAIL plan, which aims to renew 300 to 500 switches every year.
The SNCF workshop at Moulin-Neuf de Chambly (60) is the largest switch manufacturing site in France. The SNCF therefore had to invest on the site in order to be able to produce more switches and adapt to new technologies.

TECHNICAL COLLABORATION

Initially, ADC and SNCF collaborated technically in order to define the specifications best suited to their constraints. These various exchanges also allowed us to consolidate our position with SNCF and SYSTRA, a consulting and engineering group for urban/rail public transport systems.

A BEAUTIFUL PROJECT

The call for tenders was launched in June 2016, and we obtained the order in August.
The delivery, installation and commissioning of the equipment, i.e. 2 double-girder overhead cranes with a capacity of 25 tonnes and 6 semi-gantry cranes with a capacity of 4 tonnes, were carried out successfully at the end of June 2017.
